Kleenex Box!

He-ey! Back again with another "taken from life" card. I am going to admit this here...each time I feed Raisin, I see this kleenex box (he has to eat in the studio bathroom with the door shut, otherwise piggy Scooby would gobble his food down, and poor Raisin would waste away to nothing. Seriously.) and think of the card I would make if I used this combo and pattern. So, here's my interpretation on a latest card idea journal! Wee hee! Hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise noted)
Green Galore CS, Classic Ink, Craft Ink, Gable Green Classic Ink, Glorious Green Classic Ink, Stitched Exotics Stamp Set, Glossy White CS, Versa Mark, Glassy Glaze and Heat Tool, From Actopus to Zelephant Stamp Set by K&Company, Sponge, Ribbon from Walmart, Pearls from Forever in Time.

How fun is this??? I have to tell you, EVERY TIME I get into the shower I see L'il C's body wash, and start to imagine the cards I would make with this color combo and LO. (Come back tomorrow when I pull out the kleenex box ;0) Anyway, I really think I will use this color combo (Only Orange, Pumpkin Pie, Green Galore, Gable Green, Whisper White and Basic Black)and/or LO again, and again...I can see so many possibilities with this! Mojo Monday 121

Hi Friends! How totally cute is this little gift? A co-worker has resigned, and so I made this set for her. There is a gift card to go in the tin, but I wanted you to see all the deets, so left it out for the photos. Also, after I made everything, I realized "Thanks" may not be the #1 choice of sentiments to use to send off a co-worker. However, she's been with us a relatively short time, and could be relied on to do her job without worry, stress, or the rest of the team checking up on her. That's pretty rare for us to find someone who can blend in right from day one, and be relied on to know when she needed to ask for guidance. She was a pleasure to work with, and I guess all these thoughts were rolling around in my mind when I made the card, and really, I wanted to say "Thanks!" for all that. Until I realized I probably should have said..."good luck", or "Congratulations", or even "We'll miss you"....something other than a lame'o "thanks" Duh. Well, I guess I'll have to write that all in the card so she gets why it says what it does.....

And, so without further blabbering....Good luck "K", we'll miss you, congrats on your big move!!!

And, also? I should mention the sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site, be sure to check it out!!! It's for last weeks sketch (#121), which I loved so much I used it again, however, I think it's too late to post.

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Delicate Dots DSP, Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set, Certainly Celery Classic Ink, Bashful Blue Classic Ink, Pink Passion Craft Ink, Glassy Glaze EP, Whisper White CS, 5/8" So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Making Memories Corner Rounder, 1" Marvy Circle Punch, Tin from Michaels, "Thanks" stamp from Studio G, Gems Recollections for Michaels, Chipboard Letters Forever in Time.

So how cute is this???

I was walking through Home Depot last weekend, and what jumped out and grabbed my eye? These paint chips!!! Apparently Behr has put out some leaf shaped paint chips that were BEGGING to be made into a cutie little card! As it turns out, they were just what was needed for my OCCC card. The challenge this week was to create a card with blues and greens, so (with the addition of Kraft) Voila! Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Baja Breeze CS and Classic Ink (the newspaper was dragged through the ink to give it a bit of blue coloring), Kraft CS, Flower Brad, Behr Paint Chips, Newspaper.

Mojo Monday 122

Hi all! We met our new babies Monday night!!! Big C and L'il C approached me a few weeks ago with a plan to get Guinea Pigs. Their friend thought they had 2 male piggies, and....well....oops. Not so much. As a result, the kids did a LOT of research, pooled their money to purchase all of the supplies, and showed me they were ready to take on the responsibilities of more pets. The babies are 5 days old now, and are sooooo cute! They will come home at the beginning of March, and so to be prepared, I made this card as a thank you. (Sadly, I don't have a guinea pig stamp...they'll have to make due with a Scooby stamp instead! LOL! And yes...I'll admit mother thinks I'm crazy...the animals are once again out numbering the humans in our house! ;o)

This sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site, be sure to go over and check it out!

Real Red CS, Classic Ink and 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Whisper White CS, Basic Black CS and Craft Ink, Man's Best Friend Stamp Set, Stampendous Detail Black EP, Sizzix Embossing Folder, Making Memories Slice Basics 1 Cartridge.

(*Thank You!)

Ok, how FUN is this card??? I know I've mentioned that we've recently moved. I'm not sure if I've mentioned enough how incredibly blessed we've been with all the help we've had. Family, to friends, to people I hardly know have crawled out of the woodwork to help in the move, in building (and we've done extensive building...the studio for one thing!), painting, unpacking, childminding, and making life just that much easier for us. Thanks each and every one of you!

I sat down last night to create a lot of thank you cards. I had them all planned out, and in my mind they looked completely different. Then I pulled out the Lots of Bots Stamp Set for the screw/nuts image, and suddenly this card popped into my brain! So Voila! Hope you're all as charmed by it, as I am!

Ingredients: (all SU!)
Lots of Bots Stamp Set, (the "Thank You" is an SU! image, but it's lost its home...any ideas anyone???) Soft Suede Classic Ink and Stampin' Write, Melon Mambo Stampin' Write, Aqua Painter.

Happy Birthday Donna!

Happy Birthday Donna! My SU! "supplier" turns 50 this month and is running a contest at her blog, go check it out . My card is a little unusual, there's more of an extreme, well worn, anti-girlie theme going on here. I'm hoping the message received is "You're 50and you Rock" ;o)

Ingredients: (all SU!)
Soft Suede CS, Whisper White CS, Regal Rose CS and Classic Ink, Ballet Blue CS and Classic Ink, So Saffron Classic Ink, Versa Mark, Extreme Elements Stamp Set, Well-Worn Numbers Stamp Set, Staples from Dollarama.

"Thank You" cards from Big C and Little C

I needed to put together a few quick thank you cards for the kids to mail out after Christmas. I wanted them to be CAS and look as if the kids helped make them. The most difficult part of the card was using the masking technique to make the presents appear behind the monkey, but still, that was pretty simple. They are just straight postcards, the kids can write on the front, and address the back, and pop them in the mail. Here are the reuslts, hope you enjoy!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Whisper White CS, Close to Cocoa Classic Ink, Real Red Classic Ink, Sock Monkey Stamp Set, Sock Monkey Accessory Stamp Set, Crayola Crayons.
