May MS Card Class

Hey everyone! I've just realized I haven't posted the May (or June) cards we made at the KW MS Society card classes. I won't get into a lot of deets, as you can see similar here and here, and most of the products used are retired now. I do have to say, that I love that with SU! you can take a layout, idea or products, and alter the outcome to make a different card. Thanks SU! :o) Come on back Monday to check out what we made in June.

Well hello there! I have been busy creating cards for a Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue Swap I am in. They're due Aug. 1 to the hostess, and we will get all of our swaps back on the 10th. I will be sure to post them so you can get a peek of what is coming out in the next Holiday Catty!

This was one of the cards we made at my New Catty Release party way back on June 2. It features new designer paper, cardstock color and classic ink, ribbon, stamp set, and framelits die. Fun was had by all and the winner of the grand prize was my good friend and all over creative crafty chick: V! Yay you! ;o)

Imagining CAS...

Hi friends! I bet you won't believe the length of time I thought about this card. Seriously, yesterday as I drove around for work all day, I had it rattling through my brain! I bought the Chevron Embossing Folder on pre-order, and had yet to use it. I wanted to showcase it in a very CAS manner, and so thought white on white would be perfect. A little Crumb Cake Classic Ink to avoid any thing too harsh, a pretty Apothecary Accents Framelits and 2 mini silver brads round it all out....oh....and LOTS of Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some depth! It took less than 5 min to put it all together, but boy was it fun planning all day :o) Hope you like!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Chevron Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Crumb Cake Classic Ink, 1/8" Mini Silver Brads, Word Play Stamp Set, Stampin' Dimensionals, Whisper White CS.

Baseball Thanks

Yesterday was the final game of one of Big C's baseball teams, so we made thank you gifts for the coaches and sponsor. I've used 2 retired baseball stamp sets (which considering how big baseball is in our house, will be ones I will always keep :o), the top photo features the Just Baseball set, and the middle one features the Home Run set. I zoomed in for the bottom photo so you could see the Woodgrain Background stamp on the Night of Navy Card Stock, and the Riding Hood Red "stitches" on the Whisper White "THANKS". And since a good baseball is never a clean baseball, I had to age the letters a bit with the Tea Stain from the Distressing Essentials Kit! Super fun, and super fast!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Home Run (retired), Just Baseball (retired), Woodgrain Background Stamp, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die, Crumb Cake CS and Classic Ink, Whisper White CS, Night of Navy CS and Classic Ink, Riding Hood Red Stampin' Write, Tea Stain ink from the Distressing Essentials Kit.

SUMMER!

Hello everyone! And Happy Summer!!!! I've been in a 2 month blogging block, but I'm back...not sure if it's that I have JUST taken down my St. Patrick's Day banner, that made me feel like I couldn't post my creations, or the fact that my studio WAS in such a mess it felt crampy creating, or the sprained ankle/damaged hip, and thrown out back that interfered with the fun of creating. No matter what it was, all has been fixed now (summer banner created and hung, studio purged and cleaned, ankle/back/hip 90% recovered :o) Hope you enjoy this banner, it's a super bright and fun welcome into my front door!
