Can you say GORGEOUS?!?

These two stunning cards were demonstrated at Stamp 4 Fun this past weekend by my sideline, Tania Green. Click here for the Sweet pea tutorial, and here for the rose tutorial. Huge thanks to Tania for demo-ing these gorgeous cards, to Judy the creator of the Sweet pea tutorial, and Julie, the creator of the rose tutorial. I am sure to be playing with these techniques myself in the near future!

SPCC 45

Hello all! Here is this weeks SPCC Color Challenge. Be sure to click here to head on over to the ever talented Samantha's site, and see all the other gorgeous creations, and to post one of your own. As always, Samantha has a great prize for the winner of the challenge, a prize she independently donates each week! Thanks Samantha for your generosity, and the continued inspiration you provide us with!

I'll be honest...when I saw this combo, I had nothing! Then I sat down and flipped through my binder (when I get a new stamp set, I always ink it up in basic grey on a white paper and file it alphabetically in a binder to refer to at a later date. I find doing this, I always have a visual of what stamp is where, and also the neutral color doesn't prejudice my mind as to how I "should" use a stamp set) and the ideas started pouring in! I think I'll be coming back to this combo in the future!!!

Big C's teacher is leaving at the end of April, and it's been such a wonderful match for them both (I hope!) ;o) we really wanted to create a special card for a special thank you letter. Luckily for Big C, the new teacher is a returning one he's had before and has really worked well with, and the departing teacher is just moving down a few classroom doors to cover another maternity leave. All in all, things will work out well I am sure!

Ingredients: (All SU!)unless otherwise mentioned)
Dusty Durango CS, 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon and Stampin' Write, Kraft CS (which is being renamed coming the July 1 catalogue release, to Crumb Cake. Best of all...we will be getting a matching ink pad!!! EEEKS! Sooo excited!), Green Galore CS, Sahara Sand Classic Ink, Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button, Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, twine from my crafty stash.

happy birthday

Good morning ladies! Here is the card I promised yesterday. The one I semi "cased" from myself! I loved this combo so much, I decided to make a birthday card with it. (Plus...it was the 1st time I got the Scallop Trim Corner Punch to make such gorgeous squares...I had to keep going! LOL!) (New products being released in the up-coming Summer Mini from May 1 - Aug 31 are highlighted in my ingredients list below)

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Very Vanilla CS, Bashful Blue CS, Night of Navy Classic Ink, So Saffron 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

hello baby

Be forewarned ladies! I loved the color combo on this so much, tomorrows post has very definitely taken some big inspiration from this card! LOL! I love (semi) "case"-ing your own work. ;o)

I'm trying to wrap my head around the soon to be released SU! Color Collections, so pulled out the list of remaining colors and set to work to design a baby card. I must say, I do think the result is sweet, sweet, sweet! (Soon to be released products from the upcoming Summer Mini are highlighted in the ingredients list below)

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Very Vanilla CS, Bashful Blue CS and Classic Ink, So Saffron Classic Ink and 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Night of Navy Classic Ink, Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, and I don't have the SU! Star Punch, so I traced it from the catalogue, and transferred it to VV CS to hand cut...I think I need to invest in the punch now, it would make this card so much quicker to reproduce!!!

(soon to be released items in the Summer Mini, available May 1 - Aug. 31, are highlighted in my ingredients list below)

Sweet Spring Card

Hello Everyone! I've been spending some time on the Stampin' Up! website watching videos, and decided to try this technique! Emboss a window sheet (I recycled, and used the clear packaging from another product) through the sizzix, then use your sanding block to sand down the top, "embossed" layer. I don't think I got such a pronounced result, as the thickness of clear sheet was likely different, however, I still thought the technique was cool!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Green Galore Classic Ink, Gable Green Classic Ink, Pretty in Pink Classic Ink and CS, Pixie Pink Classic Ink and CS, Whisper White CS, Botanical Blooms Stamp Set, Clear Sheet (recycled), Brads from an office supply store.

Morning all! We get Easter Monday off where I live, so with Big C off at a sleepover, and L'il C content to play in the backyard, I had a chance to create this card, for 3 challenges. The SPCC challenge this week is Whisper White, Basic Black and Elegant Eggplant. The OCCC Challenge this week is to use buttons on your creations. And the Sketch comes from Sketchy Thursdays Second Chance Challenge. Hope you all enjoy my creation!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Rockabilly Specialty DSP, Fresh Cuts Stamp Set, Whisper White CS, Basic Black CS and Classic Ink, Elegant Eggplant CS and Classic Ink, Buttons from my stash, Cut outs from my Slice.

Easter Baskets

Hi Peeps! This is a really quick post showing off the Easter Baskets I made using Keesh's tutorial . I whipped up 8 of these in an hour and 15 min, granted they aren't the most detailed of creations, but I was anxious to get them all done for my Nieces and Nephews and God Children. I'm also not posting an ingredient list as I used (2 year old???) retired In Colors, and DSP from my daughters Dollar Store pile. If you are looking for a quick, clearly written basket tutorial, I highly recommend this one. I can see it being used for any occasion!

ps- the "boy" basket is overstuffed with tissue paper, but is hiding 3 Cadbury Easter Creme Eggs inside, and the "girl" basket is holding 4 baby washcloths folded in half.
