Isn't this a fun little card? A friend ordered a Birthday card for her grandson who is turning 4, and looooooves Blue trucks! I used Amy Rysavy's Sketch (http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2009/09/friday-sketch-sept-1809.html) for the layout, and finally got to playing with all the new in colors!

Ingredients (all SU! unless otherwise noted):
Eat Cake Stamp Set, Loads of Love Stamp Set, Loads of Accessories Stamp Set, DSP from a 6x6 pack, Whisper White CS, Crushed Curry Stampin' Write, Soft Suede Stampin' Write, Melon Mambo Stampin' Write and CS, Dusty Durango Stampin' Write, Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write and CS, Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write, Buttons from Dollarama.

And yet another masculine Birthday card! In my previous post I was saying that apparently I had used the stash I had going. I needed to find some for a friend last night, and lo and behold...I had lots of feminine ones, and children's cards, but none specifically for the men out there! So, here goes another one with the gorgeous "To the Nines" DSP.

The sketch comes from Amy Rysavy's Prairie Paper and Ink site (click here for the sketch and other beautacious entries http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2009/09/friday-sketch-sept-409.html ). While you are there, be sure to peek around her site a bit, she's just released some new super fun stamps that I have my eye on!!!

Ingredients (all SU! unless otherwise noted):
Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, 5/8" ribbon and Stampin' Write, Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write, Melon Mambo Stampin' Write, Kraft CS, Big Birthday Candle stamp set, To the Nines DSP, Invitation Builder stamp set from Paper Salon, adhesive from Dollarama.

A friend of mine is a "frugal" stamper (self named! honest!), she often shares tips on how to make your crafty dollar spread farther. Which, heck, you've gotta love! (check out her site to pick up your own tips http://www.scrappinwithdonna.typepad.com/ ) Anyway, when making this card I had myself a little chuckle. The only "new" item on this card is my card base, the rest is all scraps from last years "I Wish" Simply Scrappin Kit which I had left over from a class I took through my frugal friend. I even made the leaves by trimming the overprinted area on the sticker backing, as I'd used the real leaves on a project last year!

OOOH! And don't forget to come back Friday to read my exciting news!!! I am BURSTING at the seams!!!

Anywhooo...onto the post! This card was made for the sketch challenge at Amy Rysavy's site, "Prairie Paper and Ink". Click here for the sketch and all the other fabby entries! http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2009/07/friday-sketch-with-guest-tammy-fielder-july-3109.html

Ingredients (All SU! unless otherwise noted):

I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit (Retired), Old Olive Textured CS, Chocolate Chip Textured CS and plain CS, Real Red Textured CS, Whisper White Textured CS, DSP and Stickers from same kit.

Here is my card for Amy Rysavy's sketch challenge (link here for the sketch, rules, and to view all the other entries http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2009/07/friday-sketch-july-2409.html ), and another for Samantha's SPCC Finally Friday challenge which was to create your own embellishments from household items. Link here for the challenge and to check out all the other great ideas http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/2009/07/its-finally-friday-at-spcc.html My lollipop was made using a Popsicle stick and wrapped in cello gift wrap, though as I was putting my pop dots away, I realized you could use pretty much any clear wrapping from packaging as well.
