Thanks Samantha for picking such a great combo (again!) this week! :o)

Monkey Boots!
No one can accuse L'il C of being a girlie girl! That one is happiest playing spies, hide and seek or road hockey with her brother. Both kids were off to a fishing expedition this weekend with their Papa, and as they were walking out the door we discovered their rain boots didn't fit. So we whipped over to Canadian Tire to buy them each a pair. The only "boy" boots were the typical black with red soles so I handed Big C a pair in his size. Easy peasy. For girls, they had pink boots with purple trim, and pink camouflage boots that I kept asking her to try on. There was excuse after excuse, until I finally said "There ARE no other boots!" She patiently sat there insisting there were. Finally I got it, she wants the same as her brother, so we grabbed them in her size, but only after she agreed I could stamp on them for her. ;o) Off they trotted to their fishing day, and I came up with all these fabby ideas for her boots. Only to be thwarted. The first thing out of her mouth when she got home was "I want MONKEYS on my boots!" Oh well, so much for my flowery girlie boots! LOL! I have to admit though, these are pretty darn cute, don't you think?

Eeeks! Totally cute!!!
Hey ladies! Isn't this a super cute project or what? I am in love with it! My BFF's daughter turned 4, and this was her present. She desperately wants the Build a Bear Monkey, so we tucked a gift card into the tin, and she can go create until her heart is content!
I'm not posting an ingredients list, merely because I don't know the names of all the products I used. My Upline owns the Build a Bear dies, (I think I used the SU! Bear, and SU! Beary Essentials, but could be totally wrong) so I spent an eve there eons ago cutting things out of random paper. Basically, stick a bear to each lid, cover with "packing tape" to "laminate" them on. Add bits of magnet to the backs of the clothes, decorate the tin (I can tell you I used Taken with Teal CS and Classic Ink, Tempting Turquoise 1/4" grosgrain Ribbon and Real Red 3/4" Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon, Very Vanilla CS, Big Birthday Candle Stamp Set, and School Book Serif Alphabet Stamp Set everything else is scraps left over from who knows where!) and VOILA! Your very own portable Build a Bear paper doll kit! LOVE IT!

Sweet Treats
Here is a little book mark/gift tag I made for a swap recently. Generally I like my bookmarks to be 2"x6", but when I made this guy that size (tapered in at the bottom, and with rounded corners)...he looked more like a carrot with chicken pox, than a strawberry! So, I shortened him up, and turned him back to a "Strawberry Short Bookmark" ;o)
Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Ruby Red CS and Classic Ink, Old Olive CS and 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Sweet Little Sentiments Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Punch, hole puncher from my office supplies, embossing folder from my crafty stash
