Playing around after Friday Nights Valentine's Day Class

Oh my goodness we had such a fabby time at class Friday night! We actually finished a bit early, and talk moved onto the paper heart chains and wreaths that are popping up on the internet. Well, we couldn't resist playing a little longer, and out came the Flirtatious Specialty DSP, the Paper Trimmer, the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, the Scallop Trim Border Punch and the stapler. We went to work and look what we all made! I have to apologize about the wonky photo above. My hallway isn't wide enough to get a head on shot, so I hope you can see the heart shaped wreath and garland well enough. :o)

Sigh....LOVE the delicate look with the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, don't you?

The Scallop Trim Border Punch was used on Melon Mambo and Pretty In Pink 11x1" strips, so these hearts are a bit smaller than the ones made with the DSP. They are very pretty!

The Flirtatious Specialty DSP was the PERFECT paper for this project, frilly, and girly and delicate! I was glad I had so much on hand!

Want to join us at my next class? Check the side bar for my class schedule, and contact me ASAP to save your seat!

Nice Kitt-eh! Nice Pupp-eh!

I LOVE these cards!!! So pretty, so sweet, love the LO! I don't think I've mentioned yet, but most of the C is for Cat, and D is for Dog card LO's I've been showing lately come directly from The Idea Book and Catalogue, or different Stampin' Success Mags (a demo only SU! mag sent to inspire and teach us each month). It's so easy to take inspiration from these SU! publications and keep or change, color combos, DSP's, stamp sets etc, and make your own versions. Thanks Stampin' Up!

Christmas in August! (aka "Yay! 1st Christmas card made!" LOL!)

So I've been on holidays for a bit, and one of the challenges I set out for myself, was to take a color combo (Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Cajun Craze, and a neutral of Very Vanilla), a sentiment stamp set (Word Play), a Christmas Stamp Set (Delightful Decorations, and then I cheated and added a second set Tree Trimmings. I justified this with the thought that they are the same "type" of :o), and a set that I didn't think of as being a typical one for the color combo I chose (I {Heart} Hearts) and see what I could come up with! I also took a bevy of accessories and punches along, so here goes! Oh, and I took a copy of July/Aug PaperCrafts Mag, and the following ideas are all adapted from other companies, to Stampin' Up! products. Hope you enjoy!

I LOVE this card! To get the grid look score the back of your card stock in the grid pattern, then sponge on some ink. Super fast, super cute!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Very Vanilla CS, Crumb Cake CS and Classic Ink, Garden Green CS and Classic Ink, Cajun Craze CS and Classic Ink, Linen Thread, (retired) corduroy Chocolate Chip Button, Lace Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Word Play, Tree Trimmings. LO pg 22.

Clean and Simple Lace Ribbon Border Cards

I'm on a roll making sets of cards these days! A US Stampin' Up Demonstrator posted this beauty on our demo only site, and it got my brain rolling. I thought it would make a sweet baby shower card, so created the card below....

Once my Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set was out, I started to look at all those fabby sentiments, and thought it would make a very classy Sympathy Card. So....the next card was created!

Once I used the black on the sympathy card, I started to think a black and silver version would make a stunning Wedding card....

And finally, the fun pops of color were begging to be made into a Birthday card!

Hope you liked these cards. I think I will continue and make them with more sentiments from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Can't you see a gorgeous Real Red and Gold one for Christmas?!?

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise noted)
Whisper White CS, Basic Black CS, Real Red Classic Ink + CS, Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink + CS, Daffodil Delight Classic Ink + CS, Pacific Point Classic Ink + CS, So Saffron Classic Ink + CS, Silver CS and embossing folders from my stash, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Well-Worn Numbers, Well Worn Alphabet, Lace Ribbons Border Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch

OMGosh! Have you guys seen these?!?

They are little ring pop popsicle makers! I LOVE them!!! I saw them in a magazine a while back, wished I knew where you could buy them, but never followed up, as I figured they would be astronomically priced. Well. Wasn't I walking through our local dollar store the other day, and what do you know? Sets of 6 for $2!!! Yippee! Several sets came home with me for personal use, but also gift giving. The set below was re-packaged to give to my nieces. The label was made on MDS, and the "Pretty Pink Princess Pops" title was made especially for them! They loooove anything with the words "pretty pink princess" preceding it! LOL!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
MDS, Whisper White CS, Pretty in Pink CS, Melon Mambo CS and Classic Ink, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Fancy Flower Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, retired Certainly Celery ribbon.

Stampinpalooza Swap Card

Hey All! This was the swap card I made for this past weekend. It was a fantastic time, I'm so grateful to Carloyn and Christyn and their families for planning and hosting this super fun event. I love being a guest at someone else's stamping event and create for the pure joy of it, without having to do all of the planning and thinking myself!!! LOL! (After I am done posting all of the Delicate Doily Cards, I will post the projects we made there. So bright and fun, I LOVE them!!!) The 2 photos differ above, in that the top one has the Delicate Doily Stamp embossed on Glossy White CS and the ink is painted on with the aqua painters, and the lower one is a close up of the actual card front I swapped, and has the stamp in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White CS. Both feature the NOT YET RELEASED Delicate Doilies Stamp Set, the Flirtacious Specialty DSP and the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, as well as the NEW In Colors Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade!

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Delicate Doilies Stamp Set, En Francais Background Stamp, Happy Greetings Stamp Set, Flirtacious Specialty DSP, Lucky Limeade CS and Classic Ink, Wisteria Wonder CS and Classic Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink, White EP, Heat Tool, Elegant Eggplant CS and Classic Ink, Basic Pearls, Stampin' dimensionals, Lace Ribbons Border Punch
