Playing around after Friday Nights Valentine's Day Class

Oh my goodness we had such a fabby time at class Friday night! We actually finished a bit early, and talk moved onto the paper heart chains and wreaths that are popping up on the internet. Well, we couldn't resist playing a little longer, and out came the Flirtatious Specialty DSP, the Paper Trimmer, the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, the Scallop Trim Border Punch and the stapler. We went to work and look what we all made! I have to apologize about the wonky photo above. My hallway isn't wide enough to get a head on shot, so I hope you can see the heart shaped wreath and garland well enough. :o)

Sigh....LOVE the delicate look with the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, don't you?

The Scallop Trim Border Punch was used on Melon Mambo and Pretty In Pink 11x1" strips, so these hearts are a bit smaller than the ones made with the DSP. They are very pretty!

The Flirtatious Specialty DSP was the PERFECT paper for this project, frilly, and girly and delicate! I was glad I had so much on hand!

Want to join us at my next class? Check the side bar for my class schedule, and contact me ASAP to save your seat!

Happy Canada Day (and these were our teacher's presents this year :o)

Well, the school year is finally over, and we can all look forward to 2 months of relaxation, fun and rejuvenation. I made these presents for all our teachers, and I must say I love how they turned out! These chocolate bar sliders are so easy to make, and they create a huge wow factor! I've added a little pocket on the front of these to also hold a gift card. If the card looks familiar to you, I CASEd myself (CASEing someone else!) LOL! I love that you can take such a super sweet, super simple card, and alter it to suit your card giving needs! I also LOVE the Flirtacious DSP and Delicate Doilies Stamp set...I don't think I've told you that in about a week... :o)

This slider was made for a for a friend of Big C and L'il C's. I decided to make his a little more rough and tumble, and I love how it turned out too! That embossed resist technique rocks!

Hope you are all having a fabby start to your summer, and HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!

And More Delicate Doilies!

Here's card number 2, inspired by Dawn McVey. I love this bright cheery card, which shows off the new Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink, the Delicate Doilies Stamp Set, and The Flirtacious Specialty DSP! What I don't like about it??? The glue line under the ribbon! I dyed the Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon with Daffodil Delight Classic Ink, and it wasn't dry when I wanted to adhere it. I thought that snail wouldn't hold it, so used the 2 way glue, assuming it would dry clear. Well. We all know what happens when one assumes.....

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Whisper White CS, Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink and Stampin' Write, Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and Stampin' Write, Color Spritzer Tool, Delicate doilies Stamp Set, Happy Greetings Stamp Set, Flirtacious Specialty DSP, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Bliss Stamp Set (from Saleabration)

Stampinpalooza Swap Card

Hey All! This was the swap card I made for this past weekend. It was a fantastic time, I'm so grateful to Carloyn and Christyn and their families for planning and hosting this super fun event. I love being a guest at someone else's stamping event and create for the pure joy of it, without having to do all of the planning and thinking myself!!! LOL! (After I am done posting all of the Delicate Doily Cards, I will post the projects we made there. So bright and fun, I LOVE them!!!) The 2 photos differ above, in that the top one has the Delicate Doily Stamp embossed on Glossy White CS and the ink is painted on with the aqua painters, and the lower one is a close up of the actual card front I swapped, and has the stamp in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White CS. Both feature the NOT YET RELEASED Delicate Doilies Stamp Set, the Flirtacious Specialty DSP and the Lace Ribbons Border Punch, as well as the NEW In Colors Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade!
