Congratulations!
My NEW Summer Mini Catalogue JUST arrived on Friday, and has so many gorgeous stamps, color combos, accessories, papers, punches and IDEAS, that I really wanted it all, and wanted it NOW to start playing. Instead...I took several of the cards in the catty, CASEd them as much as possible, and used sets I currently own to fulfill the need to play! I'll be posting them Monday to Thursday this week, and then on Friday, will start posting the cards we will make at the Techniques Stamp Camp being held this weekend in Waterloo. Enjoy the cards!
ps- I STILL want it all! LOL!
Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Crumb Cake CS, Rich Razzleberry CS, Melon Mambo CS, Very Vanilla CS, DSP retired, Well Scripted Stamp Set, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Basic Pearls, Pop Dots, Embossing Folder from my stash.

Happy Birthday, Bro!

Morning everyone! This is post 1 of 2 today, so be sure to check the other one out if you haven't already. I'm sneaking this in prior to posting the cards made for the kidlets fundraising gift baskets, but wanted to post, and enter this card in the Practical Scrappers challenge, which is to use glitter and flocking. (Thanks to Deanne, a fellow SPCC Diva for introducing me to this site! Soooo fun!) Anywho...I can do glitter with the best of them (although it does seem to be missing from my repertoire lately, funny how we get into creative routines isn't it?), but flocking is totally new to me. I think I'm gonna like it!!! How cutie is this little fuzzy coconut???
ETA: This card was also entered in the Frosted Designs challenge which was to use glitter...that little 'brellie is glitered ovah'da'top! So FUN finding new challenges!!!
And as for the title of the post...my baby bro turns 38 today (which means, I'm, uh, OLDER!) so thought he could use a fun little drink to help him celebrate his day. I'm sure he won't mind the pink 'brellie and straw, but I could have totally gone blue, and this would be a great "man's card". Well. If that man enjoyed girlie drinks I suppose. Hehe. A quick story on my little bro...he is over 6 feet tall, and has been since high school. (I'm 5'8", and though that can be considered tall for a girl, I am a midget compared to the boys in my family) Growing up I delighted in telling people about my "little" brother, only to enjoy their expressions when he sauntered over and they realized the "little" brother they had imagined, was one tall man! Anyway, Happy Birthday Bro, hope you have a great one!
Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Old Olive CS and 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Soft Suede CS and Classic Ink, Melon Mambo Stampin' Write, Tropical Party Stamp Set, Well Scripted Stamp Set, Island Oasis DSP, flocking and glitter from my local craft store.

Stampin' Palooza Card Front Swaps
This weekend was my first time attending Caroline LeBel's Stampin' Palooza, and I have to say, it was well worth it! (Even the 2 hour stopped traffic on the 401, resulting in being 1 1/2 hours late...grrr...) We had such fun creating, learning, laughing and OMG...EATING! I will be posting the projects we made over the next few days, but today I am going to start with the card fronts I made to swap. I made 30, it took DAYS ( I need to learn to simplify!), and that equals 600 punched flowers, approximately 1500 stamped flowers and 600 seed beads. I loved making them, and love the result, but my word it was a lot of work! LOL! (And, oh yeah, since I was late, I missed most of the swapping and came home with at least half of them...be forewarned my swappy friends...these may be my swaps for the next several meetings! Heehee!)
Ingredients: (All SU!)
Green Galore CS and Classic Ink, Gable Green CS and Classic Ink, Pale Plum CS and Classic Ink, Blush Blossom CS and Classic Ink, Lovely Lilac Classic Ink, Pink Passion Classic Ink, Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch, Well Scripted Stamp Set, looooots of pop dots, glue dots and tombo :o) and seed beads from my crafty stash!
