Card Sketch Books

(this book was made for a friend...I ran out of letters, and knew she had her own chipboard letters she could adhere which would match the Paisley Petals DSP. Only a true crafter would give/and love to receive a "partially made" giftie! LOL!)

Morning Friends! Check out these great sketch books I created following Kristina's video tutorial, and freebie page printout. I always have a ton of loose scrap papers covered with card sketches (which I lose), or notebooks filled with sketches (which my dogs eat. Seriously.), or photos I've taken and never refer back to. This book can fit easily in my purse, be stored safely from dog mouths on my desk, and can travel with me to events preventing the forgotten-photo-idea-syndrome many of us probably suffer from :o) I am LOVING it! By printing 5 double sided pages, I have room enough for 70 sketches...should keep me going for a while!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Flirtatious Specialty DSP, Paisley Petals DSP, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1" Circle Medium Punch, Melon Mambo DSP, Not Quite Navy DSP, White Signo Gel Pen, chipboard letters from my crafty stash.

I'm in loooooooove!

Gah! Have you all seen THIS card? I positively swooned when I saw it. Admittedly, at first, I didn't "get" the Mustache craze (still not sure I DO get it! ;o), and when I saw the Many Mustaches Stamp Set in the current Idea Book and Catalogue (pg 18, #122917, $11.95), I thought that was one set I would NEVER own. Well. Fast forward to seeing Erica's card, and I could NOT wait to place my next order and own Many Mustaches myself! Love, love, LOVE! (and as a fair warning, you are likely going to see it featured here quite a bit over the next 2 months!)

Here's a close up photo in case you couldn't see all that sparkly goodness in the first photo...

If you are wondering how I made these mustaches, I stamped CIL paint chips with versa mark and heat embossed Iridescent Ice on them. (the actual colors used were "Snowfield", and "Silk Moon")
Hope you all love them as much as I do. What a perfect, quick little gift for someone at Christmas!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Blushing Bride CS, Regal Rose Classic Ink, 1" Circle Medium Punch, Many Mustaches Stamp Set, Versa Mark, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, CIL Paint Chip and Candy Sticks from my local dollar store (2 for $1!!!)

Inkspirations Challenge #91

OMGoodness, I luuuuuurve this card! It turned out 98% differently than I originally planned, but 100% better than it was in my minds eye! Does that ever happen to guys? After distressing and adhering my DSP I decided it was too bland. So I ran it through my Big Shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder, still bland-ish, so I rubbed my VersaMark on it and embossed it with the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Better, but suddenly? Suddenly I realized the sweet little pumpkins I planned to use as my image, didn't really fit. Hmm. Second look at Keesh's amazing Sketch and I saw it....SPIDER!!!! Those legs make my heart beat faster, and they're so simple to make. They are punched 4 times (thin slices) with the long edge of the Decorative Label Punch, and cut in half. Thanks Keesh for the fabby sketch at the Inkspirations Site which inspired this card!!!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Basic Black CS, Retired Halloween DSP, Spider Web Embossing Folder, Iridescent Ice EP, VersaMark, Decorative Label Extra Large Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Googly eyes and sparkly black paper from my crafty stash.

THX!

Morning friends! We've had a fantastic weekend here, the weather has been perfect for most of it (we did have a period of crazy heavy rain, hail, thunder and lightening Sunday morning, but it only lasted a short while :o), and I'm hoping it kicks off a great week! I went for lunch with an old friend I haven't seen in 15 years Sunday aft, and as I was driving off, I realized we were so busy chatting, I forgot to say thanks! So here it is....THX!

This card is pretty clean and simple for me...I know there are layers, but the lack of ribbons, distressing, and well, um STAMPS is not my usual style. I had fun making it, and love the sketch, which is from the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge blog. Please pop on over there to check out what their design team has made with this sketch, and see the other entries! The colors are straight from the SU! My Color Coach, which I LOVE! I'm still not using the new In Colors very frequently, so every once in a while I pick it up and grab a color combo that I wouldn't think of on my own!

Hope you are all having a great day, and are looking forward to a fabby week!
Hugs,
Robbyn

Peach Parfait CS, Pear Pizzaz DSP from the Hostess Level 1 benefits, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mat-Pack and Paper Piercing Tool, 1" Circle Medium Punch, Not Quite Navy Stampin' Write, Crystal Effects, letters from my crafty stash.

LOVE the Build a Blossom Set!

ETA: OMGoodness! Check THIS out! Thanks Keesh and the rest of the Inkspirations DT! You girls rock!

I love, love, LOVE the Build a Blossom Stamp Set, and Blossom Petals Punch! I've had such fun playing with it and creating unusual things (see here and here), but I haven't had the chance to use them in a more traditional manner. Today I finally got that chance and, boy, I LOVE it even more now! This card was made for Makeesha's Inkspirations Challenge #60. The challenge was to use the colors So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, and Whisper White, which made this card a "must make" today! It's been a long time since I've participated in a challenge, and I do want to get back to them. What's your fave challenge site? Some of my old standby's have disappeared, so I'm open to suggestions! Please leave me a comment with your fave site, and I'll pop by to visit!!!

Have a great afternoon everyone, it's been a GORGEOUS sunny day here, AND I got a surprise flower delivery today, so it's rounding out to be an A +++ day! :o)

Artful*Inkers Design Team, All things "booklike"

Hey there friends! Here is another journal I made for myself, and luckily it fits into this weeks Artful*Inkers Design Team requirements! LOL! Can you tell I loooove this DP? Seems all of my personal things are being covered in it!!! Can anyone guess where the inspiration for the flower came from? I still have an unopened package of the Stitched Felt Sweet Pea Embellies in my cupboard that I really wanted to use, but since this note pad is one I carry everywhere, I didn't want to risk having it rip off and ruin my book. So voila! SU! CS, punches and a white gel pen to the rescue, and I can have my flower without detriment to my book.

Ingredients: (All SU!)
Botanical Gazette DSP, Pretty in Pink CS and Classic Ink, Old Olive CS and Classic Ink, Early Espresso CS, White Gel Pen, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 1" Circle Medium Punch, Fancy Flower Extra Large Punch, Heart to Heart Extra Large Punch, Slot Punch...which I don't see in the catty anywhere...did it retire???

A little tip...the leaves are from the Heart to Heart Punch, but one "bump" is trimmed with my snips to be uneven giving it more of a leaf look than a heart look.

Be sure to check out my team mates work, they are each featuring a different Suite from the current Occasions Mini, and the theme this week is "All things booklike"!
Jessica, shows off the Hugs and Kisses Suite
Janessa, shows off the Springtime Vintage Suite
Dion, shows off the Bring on the Cake Suite
Michelle, shows off the Oh Sew Suite

Come on Back February 15th for the Design Team post of 3D items, and them coming in March, it's everything else that didn't fit into a category!

Candy Bucket Card

Happy Sunday everyone! We wrapped up our Halloween costume shopping yesterday, and at the checkout they had the most adorable candy buckets on sale for 50% off. Needless to say, one followed me home! ;o) My new friend sat on my kitchen table for the rest of the day, and during supper I started to see a card coming together. It was easy to do, paper, punches, a bit of embossing and, voila! A silly monster card was born!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Tempting Turquoise CS, Pear Pizzazz CS, Basic Black CS, Whisper White CS, Real Red CS, Versamarker, Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, Glassy Glaze Embossing Powder, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large Punch, 1" Circle Medium Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Large Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Extra-Large Punch, 3/4 x 15/16" Oval Medium Punch

Pumpkin Poop!

Good morning everyone! Aren't these little Halloween treats super cute? I will be tucking them into the kiddies school bags tomorrow as a special surprise. The poem (it's teensy, I know! If I were making them for sales, I'd definitely make the font larger!) says;

I started to carve a pumpkin,
with my carving knife and scoop.
But the pumpkin got so scared,
he had a little poop!

It looked so cute and funny,
just like a candy treat.
So I'm sharing it with you now,
because you are so sweet!

Most of the pumpkin is made from punches...the eyes are the small circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, the stem (its the birds wing, just trimmed) and leaves come from the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch, , the pumpkin is the 1 3/4" Circle Extra Large Punch punched out once and cut in half, and again and then hand cut the centre oval from it, and the mouth is half of the 1" Circle Medium Punch, and then teeth cut out of it. The SU! punches sure made this project quick to assemble!

Ingredients: (All SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Cast-A-Spell DSP (retired), Pumpkin Pie CS, Basic Black CS, Old Olive CS, Always Artichoke Classic Ink, Cajun Craze Classic Ink, Basic Grey Classic Ink, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Extra Large Punch, 1" Circle Medium Punch, poem from Organized Christmas and was printed on office paper.

Gracyn

Hi Friends! If you are just joining in, last Tuesday I started posting a series of "name frames" I have created. You may want to start there, and continue to follow daily until you've seen them all. I am not posting ingredients, as I have used up a bunch of retired colors, papers, stamp sets, and some non SU! stuff I have taking up room in my cupboards. If you'd like to know what a specific product is, leave a comment and I will get back to you. Hope you enjoy them!
Hugs,
Robbyn
ps- I was verrrrrrry tempted to use Greetings Earthling and/or Make a Monster stamp sets for Gracyn's name frame...I may still go back and do that before Christmas. This munchkin is the "funnest" little monster I know!!!
