Mojo Monday 121

Hi Friends! How totally cute is this little gift? A co-worker has resigned, and so I made this set for her. There is a gift card to go in the tin, but I wanted you to see all the deets, so left it out for the photos. Also, after I made everything, I realized "Thanks" may not be the #1 choice of sentiments to use to send off a co-worker. However, she's been with us a relatively short time, and could be relied on to do her job without worry, stress, or the rest of the team checking up on her. That's pretty rare for us to find someone who can blend in right from day one, and be relied on to know when she needed to ask for guidance. She was a pleasure to work with, and I guess all these thoughts were rolling around in my mind when I made the card, and really, I wanted to say "Thanks!" for all that. Until I realized I probably should have said..."good luck", or "Congratulations", or even "We'll miss you"....something other than a lame'o "thanks" Duh. Well, I guess I'll have to write that all in the card so she gets why it says what it does.....

And, so without further blabbering....Good luck "K", we'll miss you, congrats on your big move!!!

And, also? I should mention the sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site, be sure to check it out!!! It's for last weeks sketch (#121), which I loved so much I used it again, however, I think it's too late to post.

Mojo Monday 122

Hi all! We met our new babies Monday night!!! Big C and L'il C approached me a few weeks ago with a plan to get Guinea Pigs. Their friend thought they had 2 male piggies, and....well....oops. Not so much. As a result, the kids did a LOT of research, pooled their money to purchase all of the supplies, and showed me they were ready to take on the responsibilities of more pets. The babies are 5 days old now, and are sooooo cute! They will come home at the beginning of March, and so to be prepared, I made this card as a thank you. (Sadly, I don't have a guinea pig stamp...they'll have to make due with a Scooby stamp instead! LOL! And yes...I'll admit it...my mother thinks I'm crazy...the animals are once again out numbering the humans in our house! ;o)

This sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site, be sure to go over and check it out!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise mentioned)
Real Red CS, Classic Ink and 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Whisper White CS, Basic Black CS and Craft Ink, Man's Best Friend Stamp Set, Stampendous Detail Black EP, Sizzix Embossing Folder, Making Memories Slice Basics 1 Cartridge.

Mojo Monday

Hi Friends! I've been busy lately making the teachers and daycare providers presents (which I won't post, only because they aren't originals...I bought Kristina Werners Virtual Card Club for September, and have been mass producing these goodies. They look fantastic and are fairly simple. If you're in need of a gift, copy and paste this link into your browser to explore http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/?p=2128 ), and gift tags for my own gift giving (which I don't think I'll post as they are soooo simple, but so cute I may change my mind!)that I haven't created much to share! Please excuse my absence, but be assured it hasn't been an idle one! :o)

Ok, so onto what I AM posting! Hee! Here's my loose interpretation of the Mojo Monday sketch ( http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/11/mojo-monday-115.html ). A gorgeous sketch, which lent itself perfectly to this card! My BFF is turning 40 in 2 weeks, had planned her own party, only to be surprised by it really occurring 1 week early. She was truly floored, and it was so fun to share in that! Happy Birthday Michelle!!!

Ingredients: (all SU! unless otherwise noted)
Basic Black CS, Rich Razzleberry CS, Bermuda Bay CS, Pumpkin Pie CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, Silver CS from the Japanese Paper Factory, Black Staz-on Ink, Big Birthday Candle Stamp Set, Marvy 1" and 1 1/4" punches, SU! slot punch, FaLaLa Slice cartridge.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! (Plus MOJO106, and SPCC#17)

Ok, firstly, I have to wish my dad a Happy Birthday, and secondly, I have to say "Oh my word! Isn't this card cute?!?" (Now dad, if you check this out before you see us tonight, please act surprised ;o) I must tell you, my dad LOVES DQ, and tends to "use" my kids to get there more frequently than any other adult would. LOL! So Big C, L'il C and I, all decided the best gift for my dad would be his very own DQ gift card. No need to rationalize now, right? He can go when ever he wants! (LOL! I have used this theory many times when I have a crafting gift card, or coupon, or heck...just a good old sale is an excellent excuse! I hear lots of heads nodding out there in agreement.....)

Anywho...The sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site (link here for the original sketch, the design team products, and the other entries http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/09/mojo-monday-week-106.html ). I took the liberty of flipping the sketch 90 degrees to fit my Lots of Bots stamp. And the colors (should be Real Red, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Old Olive...I was really low on card stock, so had to substitute some colors, see the ingredients list below for the true info) comes from Samantha's SPCC Color Challenge (link here for the swatch, and other gorgeous creations http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/2009/09/spcc-17.html ).

Hi all! What did I tell you about routine? Now that I have one, I have posted 2 days in a row! Let's see how long this can go!

I stretched the rules a bit on both challenges however...I added the Very Vanilla CS to Samantha's SPCC#14 Color Challenge ( http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/2009/09/spcc-14.html ), and I flipped and eliminated one bit on the MOJO103 sketch challenge ( http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/09/mojo-monday-103-contest.html ). I'm hoping no one minds my creative licence. :o)

MOJO 98, SPCC #9, and well, a little hint...

I have a good friend who moved from my street to a few streets over 2 years ago, and though it didn't make it impossible to see her anymore, our visits certainly declined. I missed her, and the kids surely missed each other. Well, she's back! They have just built a house closer than their original one on our street, and the move in date was two days ago. I didn't stamp the "Hello Baby" part to the sentiment, but did find the "{welcome home}" perfect for them...they are "home" now! So welcome back old friends, glad to have you so close again!

This card was made for two challenges, the Mojo Monday sketch challenge http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/08/mojo-monday-98-contest.html and the SPCC color challenge http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/2009/08/spcc-9.html Go on over and check out both of these links to see the inspiration and all the other gorgeous entries.

And now for my daily hint.....Come back here Friday to get some exciting news!!! But that's not the ONLY place my excitement will be posted....start trolling through all my fave sites and maybe you can find it before it's posted here!!!! Hee Hee!

Ingredients (all SU! unless otherwise noted):

I need to start out by saying........"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! How cute!" The sketch comes from the Mojo Monday site, link here for rules and gorgeous entries http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/07/mojo-monday-week-96.html I wish I knew a sweet little toddler who needed a dino card for some reason...I am on the hunt for one now! LOL!

OCCC (pets), SPCC (colors) and MOJO95 (layout)

Hi all! I have to say I am really loving this card! The dog TOTALLY reminds me of my Great Dane (Scooby), although this one is OBVIOUSLY better behaved ! LOL! (For all you Scooby fans out there...he has slept for TWO nights in a row! I don't know what to do with myself I am sooooooooooo rested!!!)

This is for 3 challenges this week, the color challenge at Samantha's SPCC (link here for the deets spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/2009/07/sp-color-combo-6.html ) which I had to take a little leeway with. Since I am not an SU! "dealer", I won't get my "In Colors" through my club order until the end of July...I had to make due with the buttons from Forever in Time to approximate the Rich Razzleberry...hope this works well enough for you Samantha!). The Our Creative Corner Challenge, was to make a card with Pets as a theme, so voila the Great Dane! For rules and other creations, link here ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/2009/07/occ-challenge-pet... . The third challenge was this fantastic layout, created by the ladies at Mojo Monday, click here for the rules and entries mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/07/mojo-monday-week-95.html

Ingredients (All SU! unless otherwise noted):
Baja Breeze CS, 5/8" striped grossgrain ribbon, Kiwi Kiss CS, Classic Ink, Urban Oasis DSP, Chocolate Chip CS, Classic Ink, To The Nines Specialty DSP, Mans Best Friend Stamp Set, Buttons from Forever in Time, Twine from unknown Source.
